Alive I was constrained by the laws of nature
In death nature is my best friend
I am now at liberty to interact with you at my pleasure
May it be night or day
I look at you each morning from the sleepy eyes of the sun
At night my affection takes the form of the soft glow of the moon light
I surprise you with my sudden touch with the passing gust of the wind
Which is usually gentle but some times rough
When you pass through the garden for your early morning stroll
I lay down the red carpet of flowers with motifs galore
In autumn I weave a cushion of leaves to protect your feet from dust
While I wander here & there in my wonder lust
I welcome death from liberating me from stifling social rules
Now I am the lord of all I survey
Caring two hoots for what society says
I sing melodious melodies for you with the chirping of the birds
My love for you is known now to the entire world
My task has been well defined in my new avtar
I can gaze at you at leisure from close by or from very far
I have now got a permanent home to reside in your heart
My body has now merged with you
My heart was already submerged
During rains when rain drops wash your feet & make you fully wet
I marvel at your flight back home perched atop the golden gate
On your birthday I present to you the biggest bouquet the world has seen
I send you a beautiful silky dress I am sure you like its sheen
I shower at your feet the riches of the world as the entire world is mine
At heart I remain a pauper though as what belongs to me is thine

expression of love
Friends should never have any secrets it is said
Let me now share mine
Alive I was afraid of consequences
A dead man has nothing to hide
I never knew I loved you
Till I was dead & gone
Of what use is regret right now
When the time for expression has gone
You stole my heart with my lunch
when we were still in school
I vividly remember when you had a nasty fall
While you were Playing the basket ball
That day when You were in severe pain
I tried to help you in vain
Every drop of your tear was hearting me
My mind was blank & body numb
I never could forgive my self
For being so utterly dumb
I still remember the day
When you told me about your first crush
For you it was nothing much
To me it mattered so much
I still remember your wedding day
when I was your best man
my eyes were smiling to see your joy
my heart was broken & crying in vain
with a heavy heart I handed you over
in the arms of your would be husband
but my face had the broadest smile
my heart was overwhelmed & was crying loudly
with not a drop of tear in my eyes
I was the godfather of all your kids
And even gave them first name
Secretly I often desired if they could share my surname
I still remember the day when you had that bitter divorce
I was sad at your grief but my disappointment was rather brief
We have covered a great deal of distance on the path called life
So what despite all my wish you could never become my wife
After all it was all one sided
Love is never a two way street
Your company was all I craved
so what if we could never share the same sheet
my love for you used to take new wings
with the arrival of every spring
If my life was a dessert
You were my oasis within
You were so near yet so far
After all one can remain thirsty
in the middle of the ocean
love is surrender not a victory
heart is lost & is never won
I congratulate you on your victory
But my defeat is entirely mine
There has to be a purpose to live & to die
My love for you has given me a reason to live
And not to hesitate while dying
My death has given my love a new lease of life
May be in my next birth you will become my wife
Our paths will definitely cross and we will keep in touch
It matters to me
For you it may not amount very much
I do not know if I should express my feelings in prose or in verse
For some life is a boon
For others it is a curse
Life is what we make it out to be
It may taste like gutter water or a very delicious wine
I could never share my life with any one
as my heart was never mine
it is a fire which neither I ignited
nor I can put down
but I can feel its warmth all the while
I do not know if there is a god
& frankly I do not care for I have found mine
People spend there lives trying to meet him in vain
It does not mean that there is no gain
Life is a journey not a destination
we are all destiny’s creations
I have stopped pondering on the outcome of my love
As the journey of a thousand miles has just begun
life is a never ending poem
love is the melody which completes the symphony
